French presidential election: disability / dependency, lost causes of the quinquennium?

Published on :

The fourth in a series of 5 programs devoted to the major challenges facing national health in the run-up to the presidential election, this Priorité Santé dossier looks back on the issues of dependency among the elderly and of disability.

National cause or lost causes? How are these challenges in terms of care and inclusion addressed by the various candidates running for the April 10 election? What an inventory, when several occupants of the Élysée had pledged to make these issues priority projects/national causes. The health crisis and the book-revelation The Gravediggers: Revelations About the System That Abuses Our Elders by Victor Castanet put the dependency project back in its rightful place in the debates?

These issues will be illustrated through reports from the field, testimonies collected by Igor Strauss.
