The French police decided to deposit the brother of the Italian club Juventus star, Paul PogbaMatthias, is in prison, along with three people implicated in blackmail casethat shook the football world over the past few weeks.
Matthias Pogba went to the Nanterre police station, according to the French newspaper, “Le Monde”, following receiving the immediate summons, and spent the night of Tuesday in addition to Wednesday in the cell, to appear before justice in the next few days.
The reason behind the development of matters to prison, following it was proven that the weapon was used to threaten Paul Pogba, in order to steal a large amount of money from him, and through an organized gang that worked in recent months to blackmail the French midfielder, and to benefit from his salaries illegally.
Matthias, who is also a football player, but at the lower levels, faces a set of charges, including participating in Paul’s kidnapping and threatening him with a firearm, and contributing to the preparation of a full-fledged crime, and court sessions will start soon to punish those involved in the scandal.
Paul Pogba faces difficult circumstances a few weeks before the start of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, as he suffers from psychological problems following being injured before the start of the season and his absence from Juventus matches, and then the issue of extortion that blew up the situation and increased his troubles.
