Paris: Poland’s Iga Sviatech advanced to the women’s singles final of the French Open tennis grand slam following defeating Russia’s Daria Kasatkina. World number one Iga won the straight sets. Score: 6-2, 6-1.
Casatkina broke through the service early in the first set. Iga did not look back. Iga, the 2020 season champion, has not lost a game since February. Igai is now with the record set by Serena Williams in 2013. If he wins the final, the Polish player will set a record of 2000 Venus Williams.

Nadal also has an eye on the record for the 22nd Grand Slam title. Nadal defeated world number one Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals to record 110 victories in the Rollang Garos. Nadal has won six of the nine games he has played once morest Swarovski. Nadal has won all four of his matches on the clay court.
Swarovski, 11 years younger than Nadal, is aiming for his maiden Grand Slam title. He was able to play in the semis last season as well. Swarev defeated teenager Carlos Alcaras in the quarterfinals.
Swarev has not beaten Nadal or Djokovic in any of the major tournaments. Marin Cilic will face Caspar Rudd in the second semi. This is the first semi-final for both stars’ Rollang Garros. Silich, 33, is a 2014 U.S. citizen. Is the Open Champion.
Silich is one of the most active players to ever play in the semis of all four Grand Slams. The others are Nadal, Djokovic, Roger Federer and Andy Murray. Silich, ranked 23rd in the world, is playing in a Grand Slam semifinal for the first time since 2018. For Kaspar Rudd to become the first Norwegian to play in a Grand Slam semi-final. Japan’s Ena Shibahara and Holland’s Wesley Cooloff won the mixed doubles title. They defeated Norway’s Ulriki Aiki and Belgium’s Joran Willegan. Score: 7-6 (5), 6-2.
The Bopanna alliance was defeated
India’s Rohan Bopanna and Holland’s Mattway Middlecoop lose in the men’s doubles semifinals of the French Open. They lost to El Salvador’s Marcelo Arivalro and Holland’s Jean-Julien Roger. Score: 6-4, 3-6, 6-7 (8-10).
After Leander Paes, the Indians might not play in the Grand Slam men’s doubles final. Paice won the 2013 U.S. Open. Played in the Open final. Bopanna last played in a Grand Slam final in 2010.
Bopanna’s partner was Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan. With the loss of the Bopanna-Mattway alliance, India’s presence at the French Open was cut short. Bopanna makes it to the semifinals of the French Open men’s doubles semifinals for the first time.
