(Seoul = Yonhap News) A French journalist who went into Ukraine immediately following the Russian invasion and reported the horrors of the war jumped to the front line on the 9th (local time) and was killed by a rocket attack while working.
France’s AFP news agency said that Arman Soldin, a video reporter for this media, was killed by a rocket attack near Bahmut, an eastern battlefield.
At the time, the AFP reporters were with the Ukrainian army and were attacked by multiple rocket launchers in Grad at 4:30 pm on the same day. No other reporters were injured in the attack.
The deceased, 32 years old, entered Ukraine in February of last year, the day following the Russian invasion.
Since September of last year, he moved his residence to Ukraine and visited the eastern and southern battlefronts, the frontline battlegrounds, as a video reporter, and conveyed the horrors of war to the world amidst a rain of shells.
