French gas stocks have collapsed

Are the threats of last year back? The level of gas stocks in France has collapsed in recent days. It is now slightly above 30% when the rest of Europe is well above, between 50% and 60%. Only Ukraine has a lower level, with 16% of its capacity filled. Germany, for example, still has more than 160 TWh of gas in reserve, or more than 64% of its capacity.

“We will probably end the winter below 30%,” says an observer. Far from the forecasts which rather placed this level, so far, around 50%, after mild weather during a large part of the winter, which should have left stocks at a high level.
