The experiment implemented by the French Football Federation, during one of the “League One” matches, by suspending a microphone by the referee of the arena to hear what is going on between him and the players, was well received by the followers and the media, and fans expressed their wish to implement it in the English Premier League.

And the “Amazon” platform published, through its official account on Twitter, a video clip of the experiment that took place during the Lyon and Nantes match in the French League.

The video clip showed the interaction of referee Benoit Milot with the players of the two teams, and all the dialogues that took place between them were heard through the microphone.

According to the footage, Milot appeared while talking to the players in an attempt to control the atmosphere of the match.

Referee Milot, 41, was heard telling the players, “Guys, some of the tackles have become more severe, we need to be more careful during and following the tackles.”

The referee also issued a verbal warning to Joao Victor, the Nantes player, advising him to beware of his interventions so as not to get the second yellow card, then the red one.

Milot told Victor, “Mr. Joao, you have received a yellow card, you will not survive once more such tackles, do not risk, be smart, be smart.”

And here Alexandre Lacazette, Lyon striker, entered the dialogue, and he seemed unhappy with Milot’s leniency and asked him to be tougher.

The referee responded to Lacazette, “I completely agree with you on that, but giving him a second yellow card would not be fair.”

Then Lacazette asked the referee to warn Joao Victor, and the response came once more, “This is what I did, did you see me doing that?”

Referee Milot arrived in the match to safety, as he was seen shaking hands with the players of both teams.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star reported (Daily StarBritish Football League fans would like to see this experience in their championship.

And the newspaper highlighted the comment of a follower on Twitter, in which he wrote, “Why is this not applied in the greatest league in the world?”

And the “Daily Star” confirms that this experiment would have revealed beyond any doubt the truth regarding what happened with Scottish Andrew Robertson, Liverpool fullback, and assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis.

Hatzidakis raised his elbow in Robertson’s face before entering the dressing room following the end of the first half of the Liverpool and Arsenal match, which was held at Anfield on April 9, 2023, for the 30th round of the Premier League.
