Pau FC (L2) 1-4 FC Nantes (L1)

For a half-time, Pau believed in it. A goal once morest the run of play from Moussa Sylla (15th), a Mehdi Jeannin of great evenings in goal: the stars seemed to align for the resident of L2 to eliminate Nantes. But Jocelyn Gourvennec’s Canaries came back with other intentions in the second half, quickly coming back to score through Florent Mollet (48th). It was the brand new Nantais Tino Kadewere who delivered his team at the end of the match with a double (80th, 83rd), before Kader Bamba added to the tally (88th).

Feignies-Aulnoye (N2) 1-0 Quevilly (L2)

The journey continues for the Entente Feignies-Aulnoye club, which leaves a club playing two divisions above it. The 4th division team suffered enormously on their home pitch once morest Quevilly, but they finally won by the smallest of margins (1-0). On a cross on target, Thomas de Parmentier scored the only goal of the match (13th). Samuel Atrous, the Feignies-Aulnoye goalkeeper, distinguished himself by repelling numerous opposing attempts, notably by stopping a penalty caused by himself in the first period.

FC Challans (N3) 0-4 Rodez (L2)

FC Challans was no match for a solid Rodez team. The Ruthenois quickly led thanks to an excellent Killian Corredor, scoring in the 3rd then the 13th minute. Andreas Hountodji took advantage of a slight moment of hesitation following contact in the opposing area to score the 3rd goal (55th), before Corredor confirmed his hat-trick a few minutes later (63rd). A more than logical victory for Rodez who joins the round of 16 of the Coupe de France.

Sarreguemines FC (R1) 0-2 Valenciennes (L2)

No exploit for Sarreguemines Regional 1 players. Valencienne’s Tidyane Diagouraga showed no mercy when punishing the defensive generosity of his opponents (21st), thus putting the VAFC on the right track. Not very rich in opportunities, the match nevertheless ended with a sublime long-range strike from Manga Foe Ondoa (87th), recovering with one touch a ball poorly cleared from a corner by the Mosellans.

Chambly FC (N2) 1-2 Racing CFF (N2)

The National 2 Pool C duel turned in favor of Ciel et Blanc, thanks to an incredible scenario. A few moments following missing a penalty in the 87th minute, RFF striker Lilian Ricol sent his team into the round of 16 by taking a cross from the right at close range (90th). Cruel for Chambly, but deserved given the nature of the match, because the Chamblyens were too approximate defensively.
