French director Justine Trier wins the Palme d’Or for “Anatomy of a Fall”

French director Justine Terrier won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival for her film “Anatomy of a Fall”. The French director is the third woman to win the Palme d’Or in the history of the Cannes Film Festival.

The director expressed her great happiness with this coronation following receiving the award, and at the same time criticized Macron’s government policy, which breaks, as she put it, the French “cultural exception”, and denounced Paris’s approach to the retirement file.
