While the price of graphics cards has skyrocketed in recent months (or even in recent years), things are gradually returning to normal. It must be said that the factors that contributed to the drying up of the market are fading, while many elements contribute to pulling prices down. Among these, the French Days figure in a good position. The promos also touch a perfect card for the game in 1440p.

The AMD 6700XT graphics card signed Sapphire goes to 414€ for the French Days 2022

Unless you are a hermit, you have surely heard regarding the problems in the graphics card market. Since the release of the RTX 30-series, production has been slowed down due to COVID, while the cryptocurrency price boom has caused miners to buy up every available GPU. The result is simple: a very complicated availability, and prices that have exploded to the point of reaching completely ridiculous heights.

Fortunately, cryptocurrencies are no longer worth anything, factories are now running at full speed, and the arrival of new graphics card models from Nvidia and AMD is pushing vendors to empty their stocks.

Surfing on the occasion of the French Days, Cybertek is currently destocking its Sappphire Pulse Radeon 6700XT. Initially displayed at €599, this GPU is now offered at the price of €414, i.e. a 30% discount. An opportunity that is difficult to pass up, especially when we remember that this Radeon is the direct competitor of the RTX 3070.

French Days: the Sapphire Radeon RX 6700XT is €414, the RTX 3070 is much more expensive!

If you don’t have much to do with Nvidia’s RTX ray-tracing, or DLSS supersampling, then AMD Radeon cards have a lot of arguments. Today, the one that concerns us is the RX 6700 XT, a perfect graphics card for players who are in 1440p, and a sacred competitor to the RTX 3070. Indeed, the model from AMD offers performances that are more or less 10 FPS than those of the Nvidia card, depending on use cases of course.

The 6700XT embeds 2560 stream processors, and frequencies that can go up to 2581Mhz in this Sapphire version. The chip is supported by 12 GB of GDDR6 memory which offers transfer speeds of 16 GB/s. In short, we are really on the top of the range. In terms of cooling, we are entitled to the Sapphire Dual-X heatsink and its two axial fans.

The good news is that this GPU is rather sober in terms of its power consumption with only 230 Watts, where an RTX 3070 Ti gobbled up 290. Clearly, it should be possible to do a little overclocking on this GPU, without overheating everything, or needing a crazy PSU.

Finally, we will take advantage of AMD technologies such as FreeSync (available on much more screens than Nvidia’s expensive G-Sync) or AMD Smart Access Memory if you have an AMD Ryzen 3000 or 5000 series CPU.
