During a house search in connection with a crime, a man jumped from the 4th floor on Wednesday morning – in the presence of the Friborg cantonal police. He survived the jump, the reasons are now being clarified.

On Wednesday morning, the cantonal police in Friborg carried out a house search in La Tour-de-Trême FR as part of criminal proceedings conducted by the public prosecutor. The alleged perpetrator (34) was on site – and jumped from his balcony on the 4th floor of a residential building during the police operation, according to the police.
A local officer tried to arrest the man, but was unsuccessful. The man survived the jump – the police quickly rendered assistance to the injured person before the paramedics called for him to take him to a hospital, it is said. It is now being clarified why the alleged perpetrator jumped from the balcony. (chs)
