The Theater Workshop was created and has been operating for 12 years as a space for the expression of its participants. Children from 3 years old to adults, through the valuable tools that the theater gives us, have the opportunity to interact, freely express their feelings, develop their social skills and get the joy of belonging and TOGETHER!
Through the mediation of experienced theater teachers and in a pleasant and safe environment, empathy, cooperation, teamwork, the joy of creating the language of the theater are cultivated. In a world that runs and everything changes, we slow down to enjoy its beauty! We dream and create because we love ourselves and those around us!
In September, as every year, there will be free trial workshops, by reservation. The people in charge of the Workshop invite parents who would like their children to participate for the first time in the Theater Workshop of DI.PE.THE. Patras, to declare participation in the test workshops.
The sections are divided by age and subject as follows:
17 Departments:
• Preschool age: 3-5 years old
• Preschool age: 4-6 years old
• Primary School Children: 6-8 years old
• Primary School Children: 8-10 years old
• Primary School Children: 10-12 years old
• Teenagers 1st and 2nd High School
• Teenagers of 3rd Gymnasium- 1st High School
• Teenagers 16-20 years old

• Performance section for adults
•Fairytale cooking for preschool children, 3-6 years old (2 Saturdays/month afternoon)
• Fairytale cooking for children 6-9 years old (1 Saturday/month afternoon)
• Fairytale cooking for children 9-12 years old (1 Saturday/month afternoon)
•Training seminars for teachers and citizens
The duration of the lessons corresponds to the ages and the ability of the children to concentrate on an activity (ranging from 1 to 2 hours) as well as the limit of participants so that the experiential process can work productively (ranging from 10 to 25 participants).
EXPRESSION AND CREATION WORKSHOP FOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

Play is a biological need for a child and through it he discovers the world around him and himself. In the preschool age, children through play become familiar with spoken language and non-verbal communication skills, such as the use of the body, the face and the placement of their voice. They also become familiar with the possibilities of movement and develop better orientation and interaction techniques with the space and people around them.
THEATER WORKSHOP FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN
The theater is the meeting place between imitation and a transforming force called Imagination, which brings no result if it remains in the mind. It must penetrate the whole body. – Peter Brook
Through imitation and play, children discover, test, learn and externalize their feelings. They make their own internal representations of the world around them. Imagination is the key to transformation! Theatrical play, in the first years of a child’s school life, provides the opportunity for psychosomatic expression, physical and kinesthetic development as well as language and expressive ability. Imitation, pantomime, organized improvisation, dramatization of stories and fairy tales, interaction, movement and activation exercises as well as free play and the provision of creative stimuli offer the possibility for children to think, discover, deepen, relax and to rejoice through a process that utilizes all possible stimuli. They learn concepts such as cooperation, teamwork, solidarity, empathy, developing their emotional intelligence. And all this without ever losing the magic of the game! On the contrary, through the fun process of the game, a strong team is created in which the children will discover themselves and their relationship with their teammates.
TEENAGE THEATER WORKSHOP

Teenagers need a framework of safety and acceptance. All these years they express the same opinion about the theater workshop: ¨It is the place where we can express ourselves freely and creatively. We can be ourselves, without being judged!¨.
The team is built by playing and creating conditions of trust and mutual respect. We approach the theater as an ensemble function and with improvisation and movement as a starting point we learn to co-exist theatrically. We awaken our imagination, express ourselves, position ourselves, unfold our ideas, interact and create together!! In safe environments theater can be a valuable tool for research on life and man. For skill development and spiritual upliftment. We are creating a common theatrical code that will enable us to communicate in new qualities and in conditions of equality and democracy, which in any case are the laws of the theatrical art.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT THEATER WORKSHOP FOR ADULTS

And yet the game is also aimed at adults and can be refreshing, enjoyable, disruptive and therapeutic! The game awakens our existential consciousness! It reminds us of the joy of life, the meaning of living it in the here and now, and the benefits of nurturing our inner child!
Based on the methods and techniques of the dramatic art, we strengthen our emotional intelligence skills, mainly that of empathy, which finds suitable application in the function of the role. We give ourselves the gift of space and time for self-observation, interaction and self-care!
The theater workshop for adults is addressed to anyone who wishes to explore or expand their expressive means through theater, to enjoy group creation, and to unfold skills and ideas through a joyful process of TOGETHER!
