Free Screening and Diagnosis Information Center: Anonymous and Free Medical Consultations for STIs, AIDS, and Hepatitis at Béziers Hospital Center

The free screening and diagnosis information center (CeGIDD) of the Béziers hospital center provides anonymous and free medical consultations every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. by appointment (except emergency) at the Bédarieux hospital. . Their aim is to detect sexually transmitted infections (STIs), AIDS, hepatitis B, gonorrhea, gonorrhea, mycoplasma, herpes, papillomavirus, syphilis, chlamydiosis, HIV and to offer an additional prevention tool intended for HIV-negative people (PREP).

Coming from the Béziers hospital center, Doctor France Brel, assisted by Valérie Rubio, nurse, and Aurore Marragou, secretary, carry out this mission which consists of welcoming and receiving people of all ages.

It all starts with a medical interview where the risks are assessed and prevention advice given. HIV and STI screening can therefore be offered; treatment of sexually transmitted infections; pregnancy tests, emergency contraception such as the morning following pill; prevention and detection of sexual violence, issues of sexual orientation, gender identity, guidelines for social care and linking with associations and vaccinations for populations at sexual risk such as hepatitis A, hepatitis B, smallpox monkey and papillomavirus. And finally more precise medical procedures can be carried out such as cervicovaginal smears as well as checks of vaccinations and other vaccines.
