Free infant rotavirus vaccination begins today in South Korea.
According to the Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KCNA) on Sunday, infants should receive two or three vaccinations once morest rotavirus up to the age of six months.
The vaccines might be administered at medical facilities and public health centers across the country, regardless of where the child lives.
Two vaccines are available, but cross-vaccination is not allowed.
The highly contagious rotavirus can cause gastrointestinal diseases with diarrhea and vomiting in infants and young children.
