Because the demand is strong, there is a shortage of 5,000 truck drivers in our country. An insurance to find a job quickly. “The training is free since fully supported by the Social Fund for Transport and Logistics. In return, we ask future workers to take a few days off to be able to take the important theoretical and practical training in order to obtain the various driving licenses.“, explains Vincent Desrumaux, consultant for the Fund.
Interested persons must complete an online form, a pre-selection is then made. “They do two hours of lessons and then the instructor decides whether the candidate is able to continue his training or not. If we realize that the candidate is not good at all, we stop him”, explains Eric Lefebvre, the manager of a driving school.
It will take between 6 and 9 months for the candidate to complete the training and obtain their heavy goods vehicle license.
