Major General Osama Al-Qadi, Governor of Minya, announced the launch of a series of family planning and reproductive health convoys next Saturday, November 18, to provide free family planning services in the villages and centers of the governorate, as part of the activities of the Presidential Initiative A Decent Life, which aims to care for the health of citizens in the villages most in need and support women’s health. Egyptian in particular, stressing the concerted efforts and awareness raising and urging women to participate in doing the necessary examinations, believing in the importance of raising health awareness of the impact of family planning on the health of the mother, child and society to achieve the target of these convoys on the territory of the governorate.
Family planning and reproductive health convoys in Minya
Dr. Mohamed Hassanein, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Minya, confirmed that family planning and reproductive health convoys in Minya are being implemented sequentially in 3 villages in each of the centers (Minya – Mallawi – Maghagha), with a total of 9 villages and according to a timetable of one day allocated for each village, where the examination will be signed. Medical services, providing family planning services in mobile and fixed clinics, providing modern family planning methods free of charge, providing medical services such as gynecology, children’s and dental examinations, in addition to providing health education services.
Dr. Wafa Badawi, Director of the General Administration of Family Planning and Reproductive Health, explained that the medical convoys will be carried out in the villages of Mallawi Center starting from Saturday, November 18 in the village of Qalandul, Sunday, November 19 in the village of Darwa, Monday, November 20 in the village of Al-Barsha, and in the villages of Maghagha center from Tuesday, November 21 in the village of Aba Al-Balad and Wednesday, 22 November in the village of Bartbat and Thursday, November 23, on Sharon Island, and in the villages of Minya Center from Tuesday, November 28, in the village of Talla, Wednesday, November 29, in the village of Saft Al-Khimar, and Thursday, November 30, in the village of Raida.
In a separate context, Major General Osama Al-Qadi, Governor of Minya, confirmed the continued cooperation between all state agencies to confront illegal practices of seizures and encroachments on agricultural lands and to deal decisively with building violations in all governorate centers, within the framework of following up on the implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic. By preserving the area of agricultural land and preventing encroachment on it, as it is a national wealth and an essential source of food production.
