Free entry on March 25 to museums and archaeological sites

Besides the parade, the day of the national anniversary is a good opportunity to visit a museum or an archaeological site and even for free! As every year in recent years, on this year’s anniversary of March 25, the archaeological sites, monuments and museums belonging to the State will open with free entry, to welcome all visitors, without paying a fee, as provided by the relevant decision of the Ministry of Culture. Despite the fact that it is not part of the above arrangement, the Acropolis Museum will also be open, with free entry.

Entry to the organized archaeological sites, historical sites, monuments and museums which belong to the State and are managed by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, is free, without the payment of a fee, and on the following dates:

• March 6th (Day of Remembrance of Melina Merkouris),

• April 18 (International Memorial Day),

• May 18 (International Museum Day),

• last weekend of September (Two days of European Cultural Heritage Days),

• October 28th (National Day) and

• first Sunday of every month from November 1st to March 31st
