Free emergency treatment will be provided •Four hospitals will be specially equipped
Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation has ensured free treatment for spectators and visitors coming to the World Cup in emergencies. The Ministry of Health has announced that emergency medical services will be provided free of cost to all spectators.
The announcement regarding the treatment of those arriving with fans and visitors was made at the opening ceremony of the fan health information website, which is necessary for the World Cup spectators and locals. Spectators have to submit Haya Card to avail free medical services. Sheikha Aisha Bint Hamad Al Atiya Hospital, Al Wakrah Hospital, Hamad General Hospital and Hasam Mibairik General Hospital will be equipped exclusively for World Cup services. Health services are also available in private hospitals through travel insurance.

A centralized ambulance service system can also be used to transport patients to hospitals in cases requiring emergency treatment. Medical emergency ambulance service is always available on 999. Ambulance will reach the place where help is sought at the earliest and will give life-saving instructions to those concerned over the phone. Emergency medical services will be provided 24 hours a day, the Ministry of Health explained.
In non-emergency situations, you can go to the hospital for treatment. The hospital systems are operational 24 hours a day to ensure the best treatment for the patients.
Emergency treatment services will be available through 14 private hospitals and medical clinics in the country.
The Ministry also stated that services including private and public hospitals, clinics, medical center and pharmacy will be made available to the spectators and visitors arriving in Qatar.
At the same time, visitors were also advised to ensure travel insurance coverage till they return from the country.
It has been clarified that the health centers will also work in the match related areas including the stadium and fan zone during the tournament. Health care for children will also be given priority, the ministry said.
