The Government of Benin, in collaboration with its technical and financial partners, is currently conducting a national campaign for the free distribution of mosquito nets impregnated with long-lasting insecticides to households throughout the national territory, with a view to reducing the incidence of malaria.

According to the national malaria control program, nearly nine million mosquito nets impregnated with long-lasting insecticides will be distributed to Beninese households during this campaign, which will last until July 4.

According to health data from the Beninese Ministry of Health, the entire Beninese population is exposed to this condition.

“Pregnant women and children under five continue to be the most vulnerable groups and are at risk of severe forms of the disease,” the same health data reveals.
