In an interview for a newspaper Argentinianthe group reported that during their first presentations they maintained the idea of calling themselves only “Los Cadillacs” and it was under this name in the grouping who gave their first concert in an establishment in Mar de la Plata.

“The band was first called ‘Los Cadillacs’. That name came up because we were looking for something that had to do with the aesthetics of the time, with the new age. One night we went to play ‘Blues’, a place located in Marcelo T. of Alvear and Talcahuano, today no longer exists and we filled it (…) The owner, happy to see that we filled the room, announced us in the newspaper as ‘Los Fabulosos Cadillacs’. That name seemed brilliant to us and we didn’t even doubt it, that’s how it stayed, “said Vicentico.
