This Thursday (17th), the Economic Development Secretariat of the State of São Paulo and the Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced an agreement of intent to offer cloud computing courses with 31,000 vacancies.
According to the government of SP, the initiative seeks to expand access to professional training in technology in the state. The courses will be online and enrollment is scheduled for the month of September, with priority given to technologically underrepresented groups.
The first class should start in 2023, with 1,000 places offered for the Introduction to Programming course taught by the professional education school Proz, as part of the Portal Tech program, a collaboration between AWS and Meta.
In 2024, over 30,000 places will be available in the Discover the Cloud AWS course, taught by DIO, an open technology education platform, as part of the Talento na Nuvem program, an initiative developed in collaboration with Nexa.
Also according to the government, to participate, you must be 16 years old or older and be a resident of the State of São Paulo. Registrations will take place from September through from the professional courses website of the state administration.
Those responsible also highlighted that the training programs available on the portal in collaboration with AWS are part of the company’s commitment to train 29 million people in the world for free with digital skills by 2025.
