After the 9 new channels launched last week on Freebox TV, the operator continues its momentum with CGTN-News, a news channel in English, published by the Chinese government.
From now on, all Freebox subscribers can discover the CGTN-News channel on channel 722 of Freebox TV. This is included in the basic package, therefore free, and, as its name suggests, is an information channel.
However, the term “information” must be put into perspective since this channel belongs to CCTV, a public television organization directly dependent on the Chinese Communist Party. In any case, Free obviously has no chapel concerning the integration of foreign news channels since it includes all those available, even if they depend on a State, as was the case, for example, with RT France, which is seen by Europe as a Kremlin propaganda channel.
