Freddy Burbanopopular music singer, was released this Wednesday following being involved in a traffic accident in which A 21-year-old student passed away. Once he was granted the benefit of facing his legal process – in which he is accused of possibly committing the crime of homicide with possible intent – ​​in freedom, he said that he had no intention of causing damage in the road accident.

“There are things that will be under investigation and we are going to be very aware of the entire process: I want you to know that here nothing was done with bad intention. I want to send a hug to the entire family of the lady who passed away,” said Burbano.

The interpreter of “What do you presume to me” will face the rest of his trial in freedom, despite the fact that the request of the Prosecutor’s Office was that he be at home in prison. According to the guarantee control judge, there was still not enough evidence.

“This official considers that they do not meet the requirements to impose a measure of deprivation of liberty at home by jail. (…) This case occurred on Saturday and the hearings only lasted until Sunday, where it can be seen that the time was very short for the Prosecutor’s Office, so much so that they did not even bring the breathalyzer report, “argued the Judge.

Burbano remained detained since last Saturday. The artist was involved in a traffic accident in which his van allegedly crashed into a taxi at full speed in the Pennsylvania neighborhood (west of Bogotá). In the crashed car he was traveling Karen Molina, 21 years oldthat due to the force of the blow, the taxi was thrown and died instantly.

Before the confirmation of his freedom, the family demanded justice: “We are too indignant with the issue that we have just witnessed for the freedom of this character. It seems fatal to me that the justice entities they would not have had enough time to take the corresponding tests”, said John Molina, brother of the victim.

Burbano, who also suffered a head injury in the crash, is still involved in the process and is waiting to be summoned to the indictment hearing.
