Freddy Bernal says there are 36 detainees in Táchira and 15 people are being sought for the protests

DLA.- In a press release sent from the Government of Táchira, they indicate that the regional leader, Freddy Bernal, reported that in the entity there are 36 people arrested and brought to court after protests that were registered in the Andean entity due to the electoral results announced by the CNE.

In the note Freddy Bernal assures that people arrested for violent actions are “declared, recorded and with witnesses.”

He added that Another 15 people with arrest warrants are being sought by the relevant authorities.

The regional leader recalled that sentences for inciting hatred are 8 years and those who are found guilty of acts of terrorism will be sentenced to between 16 and 25 years in prison.

Regarding the situation in Táchira state on Wednesday, Bernal said that things have returned to normal, with public transportation, regular fuel supplies and the opening of businesses, since the times of violence, riots and death will never return.

“I am the governor of all the people of Tachira, those who are in favor of the government and not of anyone,” he said.

On Wednesday morning, through the social networks of the Public Ministry, it was reported that in Táchira eight people were detained for the protests, the citizens were apprehended in the Cuesta del Trapiche sector of Táchira and were transferred to the headquarters of Zonal 21.

Also the representatives of the Foro Penal announced from Caracas that there are 10 people detained in Táchira.
