“Football has become an elite sport, families can no longer afford it and so we lose the football talents that are in the less well-off classes. This is why we need to think regarding free football”. Nicola Fratoianni starts from a phrase by Beppe Marotta, president of Inter, in his latest post on Facebook. The leader of Sinistra Italiana launches the proposal for free football and university: “After the disaster of the national football team, I have heard Marotta repeat this concept several times. I am convinced that he is right and that he raises an issue that does not only have to do with sport. Even school and university have now become a luxury in our country and hundreds of thousands of boys and girls cannot afford an adequate education because it costs too much.
