Through the twinning between the city of Frankfurt, Germany, and the city of Granada, Nicaragua, the “Manolo Cuadra” Municipal Library received as a donation computer equipment and technological tools, which were delivered this Wednesday followingnoon at the Palace Municipal.
The mayoress of Granada, Rosario Caldera, thanked the sister city of Frankfurt, Germany, assuring that “all the equipment that they are donating to the municipal library will be used.”
Karlheinz Steinmaier, representing the Frankfurt Granada Association, said that this is not the first time that this sister city has given donations to the municipal library, on other occasions they have donated important texts.
“This time we are delivering some computers and audio equipment for the improvement and operation of the library,” Steinmaier said.
For his part, Yasser Muñoz, director of Creative Economy and Local Development, of the Mayor’s Office of Granada, assured that the Frankfurt Granada Association has been supporting the development of the city of Granada in all areas for more than 30 years, mainly in education issues. and humanities.
“Donations to the municipal library are a small part of all the support they have given to the city of Granada, and as sister cities we share the same origin, the same identity. These teams come to strengthen the work carried out by the library”, said Muñoz.
