Frankfurt The Dax dropped once more on Friday and significantly increased its price losses. At the close of trading, it was down more than 150 points or one percent at 15,829 points.
The leading German index is thus increasingly moving away from its most recent record high of 16,427 points, which it reached last Friday. Since then, the stock market barometer has lost almost 600 points.
The crash of Siemens Energy following bad news regarding the wind turbine division Siemens Gamesa caused particular pressure this Friday. The leading euro zone index, the Euro Stoxx 50, lost 0.8 percent.
The stock markets remain in the grip of the central banks: Already on Thursday, the Dax fell below the psychologically important mark of 16,000 points, burdened by interest rate concerns.
