Frangi and Natale elected members of the Board of Directors –

The majority stuck to the renewal of Rai’s top management and opened up to the opposition’s request to quickly implement the reform of public television. The Chamber of Deputies has proclaimed the election of Federica Frangi and Roberto Natale as members of the Rai Board of Directors. The centre-right candidate obtained 174 votes, while the Avs reference candidate received 45 votes. The PD and IV did not participate in the votes.

The Chambers elect four members of the Board of Directors who will remain in office, according to the current rules, for 3 years. Then, the game will move to the Supervisory Commission, whose president is Barbara Floridia, where the preferences of two thirds of the members will be needed to choose the president (whose name, together with that of the CEO, is indicated by the Ministry of Economy and appointed by the Council of Ministers).
