François Culot, the mayor of Virton, announced his resignation on Friday evening. He will leave his post next October. It is the newspaper l’Avenir du Luxembourg which disseminated the information. He leaves office for personal reasons. His wife is experiencing health issues and he wants to spend more time with her. François Culot does not wish to speak to the press this weekend.
