François Cluzet attacks Eric Zemmour: “A journalist, a failed writer”

In the “Brigade”, François Cluzet plays a director of a home for young migrants. It was therefore quite natural that Audrey Crespo-Mara confronted him with the words of Eric Zemmour, presidential candidate, who had described unaccompanied minors as “thieves”, “assassins” and “rapists”. during a CNews interview he was regarding two years old. He had also said that they had to be “sent home” and that they “must not even come”.

François Cluzet did not go through four paths. “It’s pitiful. I understand that this journalist, a failed writer, wants his moment of glory. The election, that’s it. There are a lot of unhappy people, so we’ll tell them they’re right. But wait, grandpa, we’re not going to take the risk of voting for you, so that you tell us followingwards what you’re going to do. Because when we hear what you say, we worry a lot”denounces the actor. “Why say unacceptable things? This guy is not stupid, but it’s because it pays off. And the more he does, the more it pays off. It was also Mr. Le Pen’s trick”says the actor.

“To say that they only come for the lure of crime, to try to steal, to try to rape, to try to eat the bread, as we used to say, is still disgusting!”concludes François Cluzet.

The “Brigade” will be released in Belgian cinemas on March 23rd.
