In accordance with the commitment made by the President of the Republic on January 6and given the Government’s constant desire to support the commitment of hospital staffthe minister announced the publication of a decree extending until August 31, 2023, the increase:
- hourly compensation for night work non-medical and midwifery staff working in public health establishments;
- custodial allowances for medical staff, teaching and hospital staff and postgraduate students in medicine, pharmacy and odontology, working in a public health establishment.
This measure aims to recognize the special constraints attached to night work and to face the difficulties and tensions anticipated on the supply of care in the coming weeks and months.
This system is maintained until the project on the remuneration of night work and the permanence of care has resulted in structural measuresin accordance with the commitment of the President of the Republic on January 6, and in view of the initial work of the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs (IGAS), expected in April.
The conditions for granting these indemnities are unchanged and the extension decrees will be published in the coming days.
