In 2022, Carla Mendoza told Trome that she was the one who looked for Francisco Lombardi when she worked in the magazine at the Federico Villarreal University, where she studied.
“(Did you look for him to interview him?) I contacted him on Facebook and he agreed,” he said.
According to Carla herself, there was chemistry and they started dating. “After (the interview) we went to lunch, to the theater and following a few months of dating, we formalized,” she said.

The filmmaker revealed that one of the things that most captivated him regarding Carla Mendoza is her way of being. “Apart from the fact that she is very pretty, her positive mood and her joy,” he explained.

Currently, Francisco Lombardi and Carla Mendoza have been in a relationship for 11 years, the journalist remarked that her family is not opposed to their romance.
