Superb win by Francis Bagnaia in Spain ! The Italian won the fourth round of the MotoGP world championship on Sunday at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit. As the day before during the sprint, it was three riders who animated the race and who fought for the first place: Bagnaia (Ducati) and the two KTM drivers Brad Binder et Jack Miller.

The race was quickly turned upside down by the fall of Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), 2021 world champion, at the second corner of the first lap. The Frenchman, who had started in 16th position, remained on the ground for a few minutes before getting up. He was nevertheless able to start once more following a short break, unlike Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia).

Long in the lead, Brad Binder, victorious in the sprint race on Saturday, finally lost to Bagnaia, who took the lead in the Grand Prix three laps from the finish. Miller completes the podium behind his teammate.

Whoever made the worst operation of the weekend is undoubtedly the current leader Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati), who crashed on lap 18. In the general classification, the Italian (65 points) saw his compatriot Bagnaia steal first place from him (87 points), while Binder moved up to 3rd position (62 points).
