It was a long night, that of the 2024 Emmy Awards, and Italy contributed to making it sparkling, thanks to Franciacortaconfirmed for the fourth consecutive year Official Sparkling Wine dell’eventoone of the most prestigious in the global television and film industry.
The leading actors of the evening – above all Jeremy Allen White and the entire cast of The Bear, which took home eleven awards out of twenty-three nominations – toasted the successes achieved with Italian bubbles: a moment that brought in Los Angeles the excellence of Made in Italy.
The winners toasted with Franciacorta at Governors Galathe exclusive after-party dedicated to the award winners and a group of celebrities and protagonists of the international television industry. Among the guests who took part in the celebrations after the awards ceremony at Peacock Theatre di Los Angelesthe ever-divine Meryl Streep, the icon of style and freshness Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Colin Farrell, Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, Ron Howard, Henry Winkler, Joshua Jackson, Matt Bomer, Robert Downey Jr, Naomi Watts, Sofia Vergara and many others.
This year Franciacorta was not only the protagonist with its wines, but introduced two important innovations that highlighted the link between art, culture and Italian gastronomy. The first was the presence of Miriam Leoneambassador of “Made in Italy” in the United States as a special guest of Franciacorta at the Awards. Her participation underlined the importance of promoting Italian excellence in international contexts, enhancing both the wine and film sectors.
To complete the celebration of Italy was Augustus Pasinichef of the Hill Colle restaurant in Erbusco: it was him, for the first time in the history of the Emmys an Italian, who prepared the evening’s gala dinner, proposing a menu in which the main protagonists were the Potato gnocchi alla plancha, Franciacorta sauce and black trufflea dish designed to pay homage to the territory through authentic flavors. Along with Pasini, three American celebrity chefs cooked at the gala dinner — Jet Tila, Michael Voltaggio e Brooke Williamson — offering dishes paired with different types of Franciacorta.
