Ducati Lenovo RACER Francesco Bagnaia is determined to win his first victory at the Australian GP which will be held at the Phillip Island Circuit this weekend.
“In the MotoGP class, I almost won (at the Australian GP) in 2022 and 2023, but it turned out (not), and no one knew (that I didn’t win),” said Bagnaia.
“We will try again this year, but we have to think about championship (points) and try to get the maximum without taking too many risks, and here at Phillip Island, not taking too many risks is very important,” he added.

Talking about the risks and challenges in Australia, the two-time world champion said he and his team would anticipate them with a tire strategy, considering that the weather in Kangaroo Country can be said to be quite difficult to predict.
“Looking at the conditions, it looks like Friday will rain, Saturday is predicted to be windy, and Sunday is predicted to be normal with quite cold temperatures. We have to pay attention to this,” said Bagnaia.
“Phillip Island (is a circuit) that is quite difficult to understand, but the asphalt looks good. Hopefully we will race better than last year,” he added.

Furthermore, the racer who is familiarly called Pecco said he did not want to be too burdened by his position, which is now only 10 points adrift of the leader of the standings, Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing).
“We will try as hard as possible, even though we know our potential is to win. We will try everything to win and get points like in Indonesia, and continue (the positive trend) in Thailand,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the first day of the Australian GP on Friday (18/10) will see free practice and practice sessions starting at 06.45 WIB and 11.00 WIB respectively.
Furthermore, Saturday (19/10) the second free practice session will take place at 06.10 WIB, followed by the qualifying session at 06.50 WIB, and the Sprint at 11.00 WIB. (Z-6)
