France and Poland signed an agreement on Tuesday for the sale to Warsaw of two French observation satellites for its armies, announced the French Minister of the Armed Forces on Twitter.

“This contract is proof of the deep ties that unite France and Poland in the field of Defence. This represents 500 jobs in France for five years”said Sébastien Lecornu on the sidelines of a visit to Warsaw where he met with his counterpart Mariusz Błaszczak.
The deal is worth 575 million euros and the launch of the satellites, which will be produced by Airbus Defense and Space, is expected to take place by 2027, the Polish Armaments Group said. France and Poland, both members of the European Union and NATO, have been linked since 2008 by a strategic partnership.
