France .. Shooting of a man who attacked a policeman with a knife

French Transport Minister Jean-Baptiste Gibbari told RMC radio that the police killed on Monday morning a person who attacked its personnel with a knife at the Gare du Nord station in the capital, Paris.
“The attacker was killed instantly,” Gebari said, adding that two policemen were slightly injured.
Gare du Nord is one of the largest train stations in Europe and serves international train services linking France with Britain and Belgium.
The French Minister of the Interior had written earlier on Twitter that the accident occurred at about seven o’clock this morning, and no injuries were reported.
Gebari told RMC radio that he did not believe the incident was terrorism-related and that the attacker was already known to the police.
