For this 2nd edition, the jury rewarded A Plague Tale, Requiem. This video game follows the adventures of Amicia and her younger brother Hugo De Rune, which began in A Plague Tale, Innocence where together in 14th century France they fought to escape the Inquisition, the Black Death, while battling the mysterious evil that had befallen the boy.
In this new opus, A Plague Tale, Requiem, Amicia goes in search of the remedy that will cure her younger brother. But soon forced to flee once more, the sister and the brother place all their hopes in an enigmatic island, off the coast of Provence.

A Plague Tale, Requiem thus succeeds Humankindwinner of the first edition.

The jury consisted of…

… two journalists (one from France Bleu, one from Canard PC) and two members of the public (a reader from Canard PC and a listener from France Bleu).

Asobo Studio developers led by Kevin Choteau, game director, have outdone themselves to offer a tenfold level of realism and immersion!

Players will experience a unique sensory experience thanks to even more elaborate animations and graphics. In addition, the now very short loading times immerse players in environments particularly conducive to adventure!

Without forgetting the soundtrack by Olivier Derivière, who had already composed that of the first part.

The games selected by Canard PC were:

A Plague Tale : Requiem, a stealth game from the Bordeaux studio Asobo, which features a young girl and her brother in the midst of an epidemic of the Black Death;
Sifu, a beat’em all from the Parisian studio Sloclap, which puts us in the shoes of a fighter facing the weight of the years;
Steelrisinga Souls-like developed by the Parisian studio Spiders, which places the player in robot mode facing hordes of automatons in the midst of the Revolution in 1789 in Paris;
Strayan adventure game from Montpellier studio Blue Twelve that offers the player the role of a stray cat in a cyberpunk-style city.
