FranceAn Alpine from the gendarmerie crashes on the A4

Three months following its commissioning, one of the cars of the French gendarmerie found itself with all four tires in the air in the Meuse.

“Red card for the gendarmerie 55 (de la Meuse, editor’s note), accident in progress on A4, Fresnes exit in Woëvre, lack of control and an Alpine less”: the snapshot posted by a driver on Facebook went around the sites specialized cars. We see an Alpine A110 of the gendarmerie, on the roof, in a field. The circumstances of the accident are still unknown, but its occupants seem to have been able to get out of the cabin unscathed.

Early May, it is with great pride that the Meuse gendarmerie had announced the arrival of the Alpine A110 within its motorized platoon. Capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in four seconds, it can reach 250 km/h at top speed.

It is (or was?) part of a fleet of 26 vehicles presented at the end of 2021 by the Ministry of the Interior, which had specified that “these vehicles will allow the police to carry out interventions on the motorway, involving cars in violation at high speed, as part of road safety or judicial police missions (drug trafficking for example).
