There are 169 candidates who have passed to the second round of the legislative elections in France and who have withdrawn to make a ‘blockade’ against the candidates of the Rassemblement National of Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella and favor the aspiring deputies who would have a better chance of beating the lepenists. According to the count of Le Monde, at 5 pm 169 candidates had withdrawn: 122 are from the left of the New Popular Front, 46 from the Macronist bloc and one from the Republicans. In fact, there are 306 possible “triangular” (the ‘three-way ballot’) and five potential “quadrangular” in light of the results of yesterday’s first round. The deadline to decide whether to withdraw the candidacy is scheduled for tomorrow at 6 pm.
