Disappointed in Prince Harry – because of Meghan!
In an interview with “Page Six”, Edwards now unpacked regarding Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. Among other things, the photographer claims that he once would have maintained a close friendship with the Duke of Sussex – until he entered into a relationship with the American. He initially had a very good impression of the 41-year-old:
I was smitten with Meghan. I have to be honest. I thought she was a rock star. I thought she was really going to take off because we covered the first 18 months, it was a whirlwind… and she was sensational.
But then the tide turned increasingly and the contact between Arthur Edwards and Prince Harry was abruptly broken off – allegedly because of the ex-“Suits” actress: “Then Meghan came and suddenly it was over. She didn’t want to meet us. We asked three times. She didn’t want to know anything regarding it. Now I suspect she had an agenda and that was always the plan.”
Although he always Prince Harry “loved” had, he was disappointed by his career. Whether it’s an Oprah interview, a Netflix documentary or his upcoming memoir “Spare” – for the photographer it’s a mystery how you can behave towards your family like this: “In it (Spare, editor’s note) there will probably be some not very nice stories regarding the royal family. But he can’t keep doing that. You can’t constantly attack the family.” Nevertheless, he does not wish the Royal dropout anything bad: “I look for the good in people, not the bad, and he’s basically a very good person.”
