Fractal Design Unveils North Case with Wood Front Panel

Fractal Design has unveiled an unusual North computer case. Its main feature is the front panel – its elements are made of natural oak or walnut.

The dimensions of the Fractal Design North case are 447 × 215 × 469 mm, and the weight is 7.6 kg. It is designed to install ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX form factor boards.

The novelty received two independent seats for 2.5-inch drives, as well as three combined bays for installing 2.5- or 3.5-inch drives.

The case has seven expansion slots, supports the installation of video cards up to 355 mm long, CPU coolers up to 170 mm high and power supplies up to 255 mm long.

Inside there is enough space to install eight 120mm or six 140mm fans. The novelty comes with two pre-installed 140mm Aspect 14 fans with PWM control.

North also supports the installation of liquid cooling systems. You can place a radiator up to 360 mm in front, up to 240 mm in the top, and 120 mm in the back.

One USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, as well as a pair of 3.5 mm audio outputs for headphones and a microphone are displayed on the front panel of the North case.

The Fractal Design North case will be available with a transparent tempered glass side window as well as a translucent mesh side panel. A choice of black and white colors will be offered.

The manufacturer estimated the novelty at $130.
