SPÖ, as part of the scandal-plagued EU socialists, is on the left-wing Marxist course
Vienna (OTS) – “While the European Socialist Group is rocked by allegations of corruption, the SPÖ is trying to sell ‘social justice’ to its voters,” commented the liberal delegation leader in the European Parliament, Harald Vilimsky, today on the SPÖ’s list compilation for the 2024 EU elections. Vilimsky recalled that the SPÖ delegation in the EU Parliament had remained quiet – especially regarding the corruption scandal surrounding the socialist Vice President in the European Parliament Eva Kaili. “One would have wanted clear words, instead of just solidarity with the allegedly corrupt comrades,” said the liberal MEP.
“Already in the elections five years ago, the socialists promised voters social justice and more democracy. Instead, there were even more bans, regulations and injustices, all of which were supported by the SPÖ at the European level,” criticized Vilimsky. “Basically, they are part of the unity party made up of Black, Green and Liberals, who only have one goal: the abolition of the nation state and Austrian sovereignty,” said the liberal MEP. “Seen from this point of view, the retention of your EU team under the leadership of Andreas Schieder also speaks in favor of continuing this course.”
