All investigations once morest Udo Guggenbichler were closed by the public prosecutor

Vienna (OTS) The allegations once morest the liberal state parliament member Udo Guggenbichler for violating the Nazi Prohibition Act have turned out to be unfounded, which is why the public prosecutor’s office has now stopped all investigations once morest him.

“Over the past six months, Guggenbichler has been the victim of a malicious slander campaign, which was once once more perpetrated by Standard editor Fabian Schmid. Guggenbichler, who has now been officially exonerated on all counts and once morest whom there is no legal case, was publicly prejudged by the reporting in Standard. This shabby approach by Fabian Schmidt caused massive damage to Guggenbichler’s reputation. At this point I demand an immediate apology,” said Vienna FPÖ state party secretary Michael Stumpf.

Stumpf also urges careful research and reporting in the editorial offices: “The gimmicky reporting that Standard and other left-wing media do is an easy-to-understand game that only serves to defame liberal mandates. There is no emphasis on accuracy. This is shameful for a supposedly independent press and makes it clear what agenda is being pursued in the editorial offices. A journalist should not act as a political activist.”
