Hacker is more than ready to resign

Vienna (OTS) – “Doctors and health experts have been warning about a collapse of the health system for years, and the Vienna SPÖ has been negating the problem for years. City councilor Peter Hacker’s prepotence when addressing the problems is unparalleled – it would be up to him to work with the medical association to develop solutions to ensure health care for the people of Vienna. If he is not capable of this, then he should finally take his hat off,” says the Vienna FPÖ health spokesman, LABg. Wolfgang Seidl.

What is particularly frightening is the fact that months-long waiting times for surgery are already commonplace in Vienna. “It cannot be the case that the WiGeV leadership brushes this problem off the table by saying that acute cases would be dealt with more quickly anyway. This is a mockery of all patients,” said Seidl.

He calls for measures to finally be taken to eliminate the now intolerable conditions in the Vienna health system. “More salaries and better working conditions are the first important step that must be taken immediately. Instead of continuing to throw money at fake asylum seekers, we should finally invest in the health of all of us,” concludes Seidl.
