Conditions in the Viennese health system are becoming increasingly precarious

Vienna (OTS) – “Mayor Ludwig must now finally act and replace his hapless city councilor Hacker”, the health spokesman for the Vienna FPÖ, LAbg. Wolfgang Seidl, demands again and again. “If the planned strike takes place on June 30th in the Ottakring clinic, it will finally mean ‘time to say goodbye’ for hackers. Mayor Michael Ludwig, known as the Rathausplatz robber, has held his protective hand over his chaos city council for far too long. That has to end now.”

Constant dispute with the Vienna Medical Association, strikes by the medical staff, bed and ward closures, numerous missing and hopelessly overwhelmed doctors and nurses, months of waiting for planned operations and hours of waiting in the hospital outpatient clinics, every week a danger report, corridor beds as normal, a devastating report of the patient advocate, incompetent highly paid managers in the Viennese health association, a chaos with the Viennese minimum security and much more – that is the sad balance sheet of Hacker.
“In a private company, each and every one of these problem cases would result in the immediate dismissal of the person responsible. But Vienna is different – here an incompetent city councilor can continue to dabble and continue to cash in without consequences until the end of the day. The tax-paying Viennese have a right to the best health and social system. Due to the incompetence of Hacker and his best-paid managers, the current situation is becoming even more precarious every day. That’s why Ludwig has to act as soon as possible,” concludes Seidl.
