Clear FPÖ no to investor apartments in non-profit housing
Vienna (OTS) – “Two current responses to inquiries by ÖVP Economics Minister Martin Kocher show that an ice-cold, neoliberal wind is still blowing in the ministry,” criticizes FPÖ building spokesman NAbg. Philipp Schrangl “I wonder why Martin Kocher, once morest all reason, continues to hold on to investor apartments in non-profit housing,” Schrangl referred to the negative position of the Austrian Association of Non-Profit Building Associations, the SPÖ-affiliated association for housing promotion, the Lower Austrian state parliament and Upper Austria’s FPÖ -Housing Councilor Manfred Haimbuchner and Vienna’s SPÖ Councilor for Housing Kathrin Gaal.
“When investors buy social housing at a social rate and are then allowed to rent it out freely, that is housing policy for the super-rich, while people are cynically fobbed off with one-off payments. We Liberals will not relieve the minister of his responsibility,” Schrangl demanded an end to questionable, ambiguous information to Parliament.
