No more green paternalism under the guise of climate protection – it’s time for politics in the service of the local population!
Vienna (OTS) – Today’s interview with the Green club leader Maurer in the Ö1 lunchtime journal clearly showed how urgently necessary early elections are in Austria, confirmed FPÖ General Secretary NAbg. Michael Schnedlitz: “The whole conversation was actually just regarding the construction sites within the black-green government: the renewable heat law, the information requirement law, the climate protection law – this government is arguing everywhere. There were also personnel issues, where Black and Green also blocked each other. This government is finished. It has long since lost the support of the population. It is time for a new start for our country under liberal leadership with a People’s Chancellor Herbert Kickl!”
On the subject of rent controls, the FPÖ General Secretary insisted on his party’s no to the government draft: “The FPÖ package of measures for affordable housing is on the table. The key points are a comprehensive rent freeze across all forms of rental and the strengthening of non-profit housing as well as massive tax incentives for landlords. The government’s current rent control is far too little and nothing more than a placebo measure.”
Schnedlitz also called for an end to ideology-driven green ideas in environmental protection. “The end of fossil energy cannot be decreed. Appropriate transition periods are needed, which the Greens apparently don’t understand. It is significant that Maurer finds nothing objectionable in the ‘blood money’ claim made by the aloof EU representative Selmayr, because even the Greens do not understand that the Austrians and the domestic economy will be dependent on Russian gas for a longer period of time because renewable energies are in cannot replace this energy source in such a short time. Green politics is destroying our country!” said Schnedlitz with conviction.
The FPÖ General Secretary did not want to comment specifically on the Green accusation that the FPÖ was on Russia’s side – only this much: “We are on the side of the Austrians and want this war to end as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, the Greens have thrown their principles overboard and are suddenly vehemently in favor of more and more weapons for Ukraine.
