As the mayor’s party, the FPÖ promises to withdraw all fee increases
Vienna (OTS) – The Vienna FPÖ leader, city councilor Dominik Nepp, today sharply criticized the robber Rathausplatz Mayor Ludwig during the Current Hour in the Vienna City Council, who is taking money out of the Viennese’s pockets, especially from municipal building tenants. “The current Supreme Court decision, according to which Wiener Wohnen has to pay back tenants up to 6,000 euros following a drastic rent increase due to the expiry of the housing subsidy loan, confirms the repeated warnings of the Vienna FPÖ. In September and November alone, housing subsidies will expire in 37 municipal housing complexes, which means rent increases of up to several hundred euros per month can also be expected. Although it has now been confirmed that this increase is illegal, SPÖ Mayor Ludwig is still collecting a basket of money from the people,” criticized Nepp.
Nepp referred to further increases by the Ludwig SPÖ such as municipal fees (garbage, sewage, sewer), the doubling of district heating prices, parking fees and pool tariffs. “The Ludwig SPÖ cannot operate with the money that the hard-working Viennese earn. One example is the horrendous minimum security payments to foreign citizens,” said the Viennese FPÖ chairman, who promised as mayor to reverse all fee increases within 48 hours.
Zwtl.: Green double standards are unbearable
The Viennese FPÖ club chairman Maximilian Krauss found sharp words for the Greens in his speech. “As coalition partners in the federal government, you are also partly responsible for the fact that life is becoming increasingly unaffordable for citizens. Today’s Current Hour is actually a self-accusation! While the use of their cars is becoming increasingly unaffordable for people in the country, the Green Justice Minister Zadic treats herself to the federal government’s most expensive company car with a leasing rate of 1,600 euros per month. This is only topped by Climate Protection Minister Gewessler’s numerous private jet flights. This ambiguity is outrageous!”
Krauss also attests to the lack of credibility of the SPÖ, which wants to express no confidence in the federal government during today’s plenary session in Parliament due to the increase in prices: “The SPÖ motion of censure would also have to be applied in Vienna and the city government would have to resign as a whole. Because here, in Vienna, where the SPÖ might act, it doesn’t. This is a bad example of the population and simply dishonest. We libertarians are the only force that speaks out and advocates for real relief for the population.”
