St. Pölten – Lower Austria’s deputy governor Udo Landbauer (FPÖ) spoke out on Wednesday in favor of increasing the maximum permitted speed on motorways to 150 kilometers per hour, “where traffic safety allows it”. That was “only sensible,” said Landbauer in a broadcast and at the same time criticized the Greens for their demand for a speed limit of 100 km/h for combustion engines.
