FPÖ – Krauss calls for video surveillance at the Jewish cemetery

A demand for freedom might have prevented a cowardly attack

Vienna (OTS) As early as 2017, the then liberal deputy mayor of Vienna, Johann Gudenus, called for video surveillance for the Jewish cemetery. If this request had been complied with and this suggestion had also been implemented in the Jewish part of the central cemetery, the attack in Vienna three days ago might probably have been prevented or at least the perpetrators might have been caught, Vienna FPÖ club chairman Maximilian Krauss is convinced.

“The current events in the Middle East have unfortunately shown that Jewish fellow citizens in Vienna as well as Jewish institutions and objects also need increased protection. Even if this fact is more than sad, the state and federal governments must now do everything they can to prevent acts of vandalism and worse. The Jewish community in Vienna has a right to feel safe in the city!”
